the chandellier

Jane was crying while Mark was hugging her, he could not believe what she had told him, it was impossible. William tried to catch those frightened eyes that had scared her friend, but he couldn´t.
They had met at University 5 years ago and since then they used to travel every summer together. But the last holidays were the last ones. They went to Peru, to Machu Pichu because Jane and Mark loved that place. William rented a big house, “it´s too big” thought Jane when they arrived, however she never told this to the boys.
At night, Mark and William went to a pub to play pool, Jane hated it, so she stayed at home preparing dinner, she cooked very well. Jane always prepared meat, but also salad because Mark was a vegetarian. Vegetables were outside the house, so she had to go outside to pick up lettuce. She was very attentive because she was a frightening girl, she pick up the vegetables and entered the house. It was impossible. The door was closed and the windows too. Jane started to shout but no one heard her. A shadow aproached her holding a chandellier that allowed Jane to see him. He had a white skin like snow and big teeth that showed to her. He moved slowly and calmly that made Jane more nervous. She couldn´t move, she saw him sliding but not touching the floor. She was in shock.
When Mark and William arrived, they saw Jane shaking near the trees shouting `help´ and asking for Edgard.

A Christmass without presents.

One of the worst moments of my life just happened a few days before Christmas. In those days everybody was decorating their houses with a lot of colours and lights, while preparing the details for the party. Everybody was doing that including my family and I.

That day, my mum had the idea to go shopping to buy presents for the rest of my family. We went to the shopping centre and wandered looking for and buying some gifts. Then, when we finished, we came back home.

The next day in the afternoon, two thieves got into my house and took our money and other things, among them, the presents!!! So, for Christmas my family didn´t receive any presents.

In the end, during the party, we told the story to everybody and we were grateful to be able to share this so special day without gifts but in family.

I’m too young for prison.

I had never been so scared in my entire life: I thought I would be sent to prison. It was a couple of days after New Year’s Eve and I had loads of firecrackers and fireworks left.

I invited my friend Jack and we went to an abandoned supermarket to play with the fires. At first everything was alright: we exploded a couple of chairs and an old machine, and we broke a part of the wall. Then we found an old fire extinguisher and Jack decided to make it explode. I still don’t know how he did it, but he took many of the biggest crackers and fifteen minutes later he shouted at me: “Run!”. We hid behind a column and heard one of the louder explosions ever. We were laughing our heads off.

After some seconds of silence, the building started to shake, every time harder and harder. We ran away as fast as we could and only turned back when we were 50 meters away. We couldn’t believe our eyes: the building was coming down in front of us. “We are criminals” Jack said with almost no breath. “There is a policeman there. Run! Run!” I shouted.

That night Jack stayed at home but he ate nothing and he didn’t sleep. Neither did I. The next morning, we were watching TV and we were still nervous. We heard at the local news that the supermarket we saw had been demolished the previous day for the construction of a new square: I never felt as relieved as that moment.

The adventurous Chuck

It was the worst holiday that Chuck had ever had. He had never been to a place in the Argentinian coast, but he went to Las Toninas that summer. He thought that it would be a great place to meet lots of people but he was wrong.
At first, when he arrived at Las Toninas, he didn’t see people. He had gone by bike and alone, so he wanted to meet people to have fun. Suddenly a man appeared, he said that he was a hotel owner and gave Chuck a map of Las Toninas and said that his hotel was the best of the coast. He didn’t have money, because in the way a girl had stolen from him, but he decided to go to the hotel. When he arrived, the strange man received him with a smile, and while he was entering the hotel a group of men appeared and started to hit him. After a while, he managed to escape and run away from this place.
When he arrived home he started to cry because he was afraid and he didn’t understand why those bad men had hit him in that strange place.

Charly García - Peperina

Peperina is a famous song written by Serú Giran (it was form by Charly García, David Lebon, Oscar Moro and Pedro Aznar) it is very popular because it was written for a woman journalist that had criticized the band and the music that they played, also she wrote her criticals in a magazine. In response to this Seru Giran wrote this song, Peperina is also a CD´s name of the group. We choose this song because we like it and also we are all the day singing it.
Claps, Agustina; De Luca, Ana Julia

vive escribiendo postales
duerme con los visitantes
y juega con los locales
su cuerpo tiene pegada
grasa de las capitales.
Te amo, te odio, dame más
Te amo, te odio, dame más.
Te amo, te odio, dame más.
