Charlie García

Carlos García was born in Buenos Aires on October 32, 1951. As a child he lived in Caballito with his father Carlos García, a gym and math teacher, and his mother, Carmen Moreno who worked on the Radio.
Charly started to play music when his parents gave him a little paino, he played classical music like Mozart, Chopin and Bach, but he changed his music taste after listening to “The Beatles” his favourite rock and roll band.
At school he met Nito Mestre, they formed “Sui Generis” a famous band, their hits are: “Bienvenidos al tren”, “confesiones de invierno, “lunes otra vez”, among others. After this, Charly had to go to the military service so they separated for a period of time.
“La máquina de hacer pájaros” was his next band, it was formed by García, Moro, Fernández, Basterrica and Cutaia, they only edited 2 albums called: “La máquina de hacer pájaros” and “Películas”.
But Charly García is not only famous because of his music, he is always in trouble. First the militars threw him out of the militar service because of his bad behaviou. When this happened he wrote “Canción para mi muerte” a Sui Generis hit. Nowadays he can´t go to Uruguay because he had a fight with a national journalist. Some years ago he threw himself from a window in a hotel from the ninth floor. Bur that is not all, he is a drug addict, he is in Palito Ortega 's(famous Argentina´s singer) country farm, there he is recording a new album.
Charly García is a famous and very talented singer, but also very controversial.
